Good-bye 2008!

We have had such a busy December it came and went so fast. Makaylee had her first Christams recital for Pre-School and did a great job. I was a little worried she would get stage fright, but not our Makaylee she was at ease on stage. Matt thinks she should play sports, but everyone else thinks she is destined for the theatre. I forgot my camera that night (I know, I know) but here are a few pics others took.

Matt's Grandpa was sick in the hospital that night and took a turn for the worst. This started our world wind of a month. Grandpa Howard passed away two days later surrounded by the family. Grandpa Howard is greatly missed! Here are pics of the family at the viewing.

We didn't have much time to think about Christmas that was just around the corner, but we were excited to spend time with our family on both sides and enjoy this special time of year.

Now another cute story from the life of Makaylee...

I was explaining to Makaylee how Christmas was Jesus' birthday and she said "Mom, I bet Grandpa Howard is helping Jesus blow out his candles in Heaven!" I can't believe how smart she is.

Christmas pics to come!

Best of Friends

Makaylee and Cora have become pretty good friends since we have all been living under the same roof. Sunday night we came upstairs to see what the girls were up to and we saw they had lined up their animals in a row with their "food and water". So cute.

Who's the President?

I had to share this cute story about my conversation with Makaylee's Pre-School teacher today...

Miss Brittany: Can I ask you a personal question?

Me: Sure

Miss Brittany: What religion are you?

Me: We are LDS and/or Mormon

Miss Brittany: That is what I thought (with a giggle)

Me: Why

Miss Brittany: Well, yesterday I asked the class who the President was and Makaylee jumped up and screamed "President Monsen!"

Miss Brittany said it made her day!

Cute Makaylee.

Halloween 2008

We had a wonderful Halloween. But, whoever came up with the term "HAPPY" Halloween doesn't know our Makaylee. Our Halloween was full of whining, tears, kicking, screaming, and fit throwing. But...it was still fun! Here are some pics of our Halloween.

Just getting started

Ok I think everyone I know has a blog and they have been telling me that I need to create one. So here I am finally. I have no idea what I am doing or how to make this as cute as everyone elses, but hopefully I will learn. Ok here is a quick update on our fam.

Matt and I are living in Sandy. Matt is working as a Sales Team Lead for a company that works with laboratory equipment. He is enjoying his job very much. I am working in West Valley as a Project Cordinator for a company that plans/sells/builds large machinery for mines and etc. I like my job, but I miss being a stay home mom.
Makaylee is 3 and is doing great. She is finally enjoying preschool and is learning so much. I knew she was smart, but I didn't know just how smart she was. She surprises me everyday with new things she knows. Mable is 10 months old and I can't believe she will be 1 soon. She is the sweetest baby there is. The lady that watches her during the day said that out of the years she has babysat babies, my Mable is the nicest and easiest baby she has ever had. She really is very sweet. I am sure this means Heavenly Father is just preparing me for a little boy who will be a handful, but I don't have to worry about that for a long...long...LONG time.
I will update this soon with photos and such.
